SPICE GIRLS star MELANIE BROWN turned down a role in SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE to concentrate on making her new record.
The singer insists although she would have loved to have acted in the big screen version of the hit U.S. TV show - she didn't want to interrupt work on her forthcoming album.
She tells British newspaper The People, "They asked me to do the film, but I decided not to. I wanted to bring my music out all at once."
